This is a
classic Sicilian dish from Palermo. This Pasta con Sarde specialty is made of fresh
Mediterranean sardines prepared in a saffron sauce with tomato, fennel, anchovy,
and pine nuts.
Cook your
favorite pasta al dente.
In a
non-sticking sauté pan heat the Pasta con Sarde sauce over medium heat.
Place the cooked
pasta in serving dish and pour Sarde sauce over,
finish off with a sprinkling of Parmigiano
Reggiano or Pecorino Romano and a little olive oil.
